Persons pretending to be representatives from licensing boards and spoofing caller IDs from state agencies have contacted licensees via phone threatening suspensions. The Commissioner indicated that the bureau would never contact licensees via phone without a preliminary letter and reinforced that licensees should never give out personal or financial information over the phone.
